The Glow
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you, the less you know.
Diane Arbus
These images are about how we all present different “selves” to the world and that people will interpret those “selves” in their own way. Those two versions may align, but also maybe divergent.
While light can illuminate, depending on its intensity, details can be obscured if there is too little or too much.
That while you might be presenting your whole “self”, or what you believe it to be, others may focus in on a particular area or attribute to form their opinion of who we are.
At times, we should look inwards to determine if there is a lesson for us to learn, but at other times we need to accept that no matter what we do, people may never know the “real” us.
Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.
Oscar Wilde
